Cast Iron Sloppy Joe Biscuits

Fluffy biscuit cups baked in a cast-iron muffin pan and filled with savory sloppy joe meat. A quick, fun, and delicious weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 + cans refrigerated Grands biscuits
  • Favorite sloppy joe meat mix
  • Butter or oil for greasing the pan

Equipment

  • Cast-iron muffin pan (such as a Griswold No. 10)
  • Spoon
  • Oven mitts

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease the cups of a cast-iron muffin pan.
  2. Flatten each biscuit and press it firmly into a muffin cup, leaving a large cavity in the center.
  3. Spoon your sloppy joe mix generously into each biscuit cavity.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Let cool slightly, remove from the cast iron pan, and enjoy warm!

Notes

Pan Preparation: Proper seasoning and a light greasing ensure the flaky biscuits release easily from the vintage cast iron
